About this bag
Black squares are joined in a tidy grid that reads as lace from a step away. The black leather top band is finished with whipstitch, and rolled handles and a gold zip keep the bag closed and neat. The openwork stays evening-appropriate because the colour carries it.

Care
I'd wipe it with a damp cloth, never wring it, and let it dry in the shade. Keeping it out of the washing machine is what holds the stitch in shape. Stuffing it with a soft cloth between outings keeps it standing upright, and keeping it out of long direct sun keeps the colour where it started.
